LMC played hard and scrappy on defense giving the Bison all they could handle in the early going.  New Buffalo led 6-5 after one quarter but found some rhythm in the second quarter and extended their lead to 21-13 at the half. The Bison extended their lead to 14 by the end of the 3rd quarter and maintained that distance throughout the fourth, winning the District opener by a score of 49-35.  The Bison were led in scoring by Senior Captain Mary Mayer who had 18.  Junior Nadia Collins scored 9.
