MICHIGAN LUTHERAN HIGH SCHOOL: 49
The Bisons opened their season on the road against Michigan Lutheran. It was a game of runs with New Buffalo off to a good start only to find themselves behind by 10 at the end of the first quarter. The Bisons controlled the second quarter due to some ferocious defense and good ball movement finding themselves ahead by two at the half. Unfortunately, the Titans opened the 3rd quarter with a run based on their well-executed press leading to a twelve-point lead for Michigan Lutheran at the end of the third quarter. There was, and will be, no quit in New Buffalo and the team pulled within 8 late in the fourth quarter and had several opportunities to make a run for the lead, but the shots and free throws did not fall. An A for effort.
