COMSTOCK HIGH SCHOOL: 3
New Buffalo traveled to Kalamazoo Monday for the first of their BCS Divisional Crossover games to play the Red Division #1 Comstock Colts. The Bison played well, had a great deal of possession, created some good chances, and broke up most of the Colt's counterattacks only allowing 2 real tries at goal. Unfortunately Comstock converted both of those chances to take a 2-0 lead into halftime. Comstock got a 3rd early in the 2nd half from a flicked header that was sent in from a corner kick. The Bison settled down and the last 30 minutes remained scoreless. Despite the loss the Bison are playing well against good competition as they finish their last week of regular season matches before heading into Districts. The Bison host Red Division #2 Berrien Springs on Thursday in a rematch from the 2nd game of the season and hope to get back to winning form.
