The New Buffalo Bison Football team traveled to Maple Valley on Friday, 9/20 looking for their first victory of the season.  The Bison, started out slow in the first quarter with three turnovers that led to successive Maple Valley touchdowns.  New Buffalo fought back and outscored Maple Valley 18-14 the rest of the way, but the first quarter deficit was insurmountable.  Michael Bombin led the way for New Buffalo with 225 yards rushing, 2 TD's to go along with 73 yards passing and 1 TD.  Anthony Lijewski had come dynamic plays both running and catching the football with 52 rush yards on 5 carries and 74 receiving yards on 4 receptions and touchdown.                                Defensively, a number of Bison defenders got in on the action.  Anthony Lijewski has 8 total tackles, Ben Lijewski had 7 total tackles and a sack, Nate Tripp contributed 7 tackles, Stephen Margaritis added 7, and Josh Kay had 8.

   New Buffalo dropped to 0-3 on their inaugural season in 8-man football, but hosts Michigan Lutheran Friday, Sept. 27 at 5:30 pm in search of their first win.
