New Buffalo (3-5) dropped a close game against LMC (7-1) on Friday, October 14th. The game was mostly a defensive battle with both teams mustering 100 (NB) and 105 (LMC) total offensive yards. New Buffalo got on the board early with a Nigel Durham interception return for a touchdown in the 1st quarter. The two point conversion failed and New Buffalo took a 6-0 lead into halftime. Durham interception another pass in the first quarter but New Buffalo was unable to take advantage of the opportunity. Durham almost had a trifecta in interceptions, however, the last one was called back due to a roughing the passer penalty against the Bison. LMC came out in the third quarter and put together a 48 yard scoring drive to take a 7-6 lead. The Bison and Lakers exchanged offensive possessions for the remainder of the game, however, the 7-6 score held up as the Lakers clinched the Division title. New Buffalo plays is season finale at Climax-Scotts on Friday, October 21. Team leaders for the Bison were: Tim Mayer - 9 tackles, Ryan Carnahan with 2 sacks, Nigel Durham with 2 interceptions and 1 pass defended. Offensively, Jonathan Cluster was the leading rusher for the Bison with 39 yards on 15 carries.
