New Buffalo crashed River Valley's homecoming on Friday, Sept. 23rd with a 44-0 victory.  After a slow start, the Bison racked up 22 points in the second quarter to take a 38-0 lead going into intermission.  New Buffalo was able to tack on one more score early in the 3rd quarter to finish the scoring.  For the game Andrew Coffeen completed 6 of 13 passes for 78 yards and 1 touchdown to go along with 7 rushes for 99 yards and 2 rushing TD's.  Contributing to New Buffalo's 250 yards of rushing were Jonathan Cluster, 55 yards 1 TD, 2  2 point conversions, Nigel Durham, 74 yards rushing and 1 TD and Jarvis Tarnowski with 20 yards rushing on 4 carries. Cluster also added a receiving touchdown for the Bison.  The New Buffalo defense was stellar as well holding River Valley to 69 total yards, 27 of which came through the air.  The Defense was led by Junior Free safety Tim Mayer's 7 tackles.  Garrett Mullen also had an outstanding game with 2 interceptions, 1 returned for a touchdown to go along with 3 passes defended.  The defensive line and Linebacker corps accounted for 8 tackles for loss on the night.  New Buffalo travels to Brandywine on Sept 30 to take on the Bobcats and will look to raise it's record to 4-2.
